Apps for Tots

No, you're not having trouble reading. We really are saying that toddlers can and perhaps even should use iPhones. We're not suggesting that you should buy your four-year-old an iPhone, but you should know that a few apps and accessories on your own phone could make both of your lives easier.

iGo potty
Pull-ups decided to take potty training to a whole new level by developing this application that helps with setting a potty schedule. Training becomes a game with Patty the Potty that can call your kid at chosen times and tell him it's time to go and use the potty. There's also a progress tracker that monitors the process and all kinds of rewards involved that help to make little ones stay motivated during the entire time.

Griffin's Woogie case
You should already know by now that unbreakable gets a whole new meaning when there's a small child involved. And while some application developers have managed to make the iPhone toddler friendly, toddlers aren't always iPhone friendly and even some of the most resistant traditional cases might not do the trick. The Woogie is a green part stuffed animal, part protective case with a built-in speaker that lets your child enjoy all of the amazing phone's features while keeping it safe from being hurled across the room.

I Hear Ewe - Animal Sounds for Toddlers
Do you remember those old books that used to make a sound when you pressed a button inside them? You can have that now on your iPhone with this cute little app. Press a picture and hear a corresponding sound. It's as simple as that, but for the little one's this equals tons of fun. With 24 different animal sounds and 12 vehicle sounds your kid will soon recognize a sheep or a jet engine when he hears one.

FirstWords series
Learning touch have developed one of the best reading games for kids with this application series. Illustrations and sounds will guide your child through an amazing world of letters and words he will soon learn to master, to your delight.

Talking Tom Cat
We had to include a silly little app like this in our list. Tom, your child's new pet cat, will respond to your touch and will repeat everything your child says in a funny voice. And the best thing is that Tom won't mind when your child grabs his tail or pokes him, so no retaliation will ensue.
